Poker Run Benefits

American Cancer Society Relay For Life of San Antonio

Attention Motorcyclists and even non-riders, get ready for a Poker Run this Saturday, October 3.  The day will begin at 10am at Cahill’s Motor Sports, 8820 Gall Blvd, Zephyrhills, 813-788-1779 and will visit 5 establishments along the way.  Pick up a card at each of the 5 establishments, and at the last destination, whoever has the best poker hand wins a prize.  Along the way to the different establishments, motorcyclists will drive over 100 miles, heading as far north as Floral City, toward Bushnell, and finally to San Antonio Restaurant around 3 to 4pm. Non-motorcyclists are invited to join the poker run with their cars, or head to the San Antonio Restaurant, 32625 State Road 52 for a BBQ chicken dinner and live entertainment.  The BBQ dinner is $10 and will be served from 3 to 6pm. Take out dinners are available.  Bands will play from 4 to 10pm.  Biker games will start at 5pm, and a silent auction with neat items will start at 6pm.  The cost to join the Poker Run is a $25 donation, and $10 for a passenger. Each driver and each rider will receive a poker hand.

John Levitt, long time Dade City Resident along with his daughter Angella, both are cancer survivors and wanted to have a Poker Run to raise money for the American Cancer Society Relay For Life.  John, a motorcyclist himself, knew that Poker Runs have been around for many years, and thought it would be a fun way to help fight cancer.  Join in the festivities on Saturday and be part of American Cancer Society grassroot efforts in finding the cure to cancer.   For more information about the Poker Run please contact John at 813-690-1427 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
